Services in this area facilitate purpose-driven, secure, collaborative data exchange among major research institutions. Crescendo lets you choose what data you want to share, under what circumstances, and with whom.
Because OnCore centers use the same informatics platform, many of the challenges inherent to collaborative research are eliminated. For OnCore centers, issues related to staff training, agreement on data fields, and even, in many cases, standard operating procedures are minimal or non-existent.
Much progress has been made in collaboration with various OnCore centers, particularly members of the The Southeast Phase II Consortium (SEP2C). Beginning in April, 2009, services will be made progressively available. To start with, protocol information can be shared between the coordinating center and the participating centers. And, participating centers will be able to share subject registration information with the coordinating center and the study chair sites.
The participating centers in the SEP2C are:
- H.Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute
- UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University
- Vanderbilt-Ingram Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Emory Winship Cancer Institute
